Shop Jackson!

In Jackson, we love to shop. Our community features a diversified retail economy, from hundreds of family-owned businesses to large and familiar national chains and two major shopping malls, and a third on the way. Downtown Jackson offers boutiques and specialty stores, as well as a multitude of service businesses. For those who like to explore a more rural setting, the villages surrounding the city of Jackson offer many shopping surprises.

Traditional Shops

Traditional shoppers can visit several large retailers and malls within Jackson. Jackson Crossing offers a variety of anchor stores that are located around a central shopping area. Located west of downtown the visitor can experience traditional mall shopping that features two major anchor stores at Westwood Mall. Next to Jackson Crossing, Northpoint Crossing Mall will break ground this year.

Specialty Shops

Downtown Jackson is dotted with unique shopping opportunities from boutiques to specialty stores. One of Jackson's premier shopping destinations downtown is Toy House and Baby Too. They have the largest selection of toys in America and are Michigan's only full-line dealer of Little Tikes and Step 2 products along with other quality toys and baby products.

Interspersed among the stores are restaurants ranging from soup and sandwich shops and delis to tiny full-service specialty cafes and larger restaurants. The central core of downtown Jackson caters to pedestrians, many of who work in the central city.

Jackson County is sprinkled with gift shops and antique shops galore. Collectibles have become quite the trend and Jackson County has them all. Enjoy driving around the area on country roads while visiting the villages and small towns to shop at their unique stores.

Antiques

Let your instincts lead you through the many treasures found in the area's antique shops. The Jackson area is known for its great "antiquing". Valuables can be found in the many shops dotted all around Jackson County. Jackson, Brooklyn, Irish Hills, Cement City, Parma, Concord, Horton, Grass Lake and most places in-between offer wonderful treasure hunting.
