Jackson knows how to celebrate with a spectacular bang, and we don’t just mean on the 4th of July! Whether it’s in the heart of downtown or in a neighboring community, the rockets’ red glare thrills visitors several times a year.
Eve on the Ave
Fireworks are the perfect way to ring in the New Year, and downtown Jackson does it right with music, giveaways and a countdown to midnight. Following a New York City-style ball drop, a stunning fireworks display lights up the night.

Cascade Falls July 3rd Firework Extravaganza
The county’s largest fireworks display celebrates the nation’s birthday a day early. Fireworks from the top of the falls light the sky starting at dusk.

Hanover-Horton 4th of July Celebration
A three-day celebration includes a scout breakfast, an outdoor church service, a pork roast, kids’ carnival, fishing contest, street dance and baseball, softball and dodge ball tournaments. Fun continues with the Firecracker 5-mile run and 5-kilometer walk, a parade, 3-on-3 basketball, car show, tractor pulls, Hanover Idol and fireworks at dusk.
