Summer Day Camp
July 6th - 10th, 13th - 17th, and 20th - 24th 8:30 A.M. - 3:30 P.M.
Summer Camp Returns to The Dahlem Conservancy
The Dahlem Conservancy has expanded its Outdoor Adventure Day Camp to three weeks: July 6-10, July 13-17, and July 20-24. From 8:30 am until 3:30 pm, children entering first through sixth grade will enjoy fun and educational experiences while connecting with the outdoors.
Each grade level group will consist of about twenty children led by a certified elementary classroom teacher and assisted by a college student majoring in elementary education. Rest assured, however, that this is not summer school! It’s a great informal learning experience filled with fun, hands-on, educational activities. Dahlem’s goal is to keep the children so busy having fun, that they won’t realize they are also learning until it’s too late! Unique activities are planned for each grade level, so children can look forward to new experiences each year they return. The activities planned by day camp teachers will also be supplemented by guest presenters brought in for the day as well as special programs. This year’s special programs include live reptiles, hawks, and owls, birdhouse building, animal tracking, nature journaling, orienteering, hiking, and the ever-popular Water Olympics!
The enrollment fee is $90.00 per child for Conservancy members and $105.00 per child for non-members. To enroll your child, download the Outdoor Adventure Day Camp Registration Forms on our website at www.dahlemcenter.org, and mail completed forms with your check payable to: The Dahlem Conservancy, 7117 S. Jackson Rd., Jackson, MI 49201. You may also contact The Dahlem Conservancy at 517-782-3453 to register or for more information.
